Commercial Pool Filters

Pump and filter are the most important accessories of a pool. Commercial pool filters removes the dirt and garbage or debris brought in by the pump. Then, the water is sent again back to the pool. To keep the pools clean and healthy, the filter is very essential. There are several things a commercial pool owner needs to keep in mind while choosing a filter.

Generally, there are three types of filters available in the market. These are the earth filter, cartridge filter, and sand filter.

The cartridge filter does the cleaning of the particles from the water. It filters the smallest size particles from the water. The particles of five to ten microns can also be filtered with its help. Another benefit of it is that you come to know if the filter needs removal or replacement.

Sand filters, with the help of sand layers, try to clean up the debris and impurities pushed in by the pool pump. These filters collect the impure material in the sand. After the process is complete, this is pushed back into the pool. You can run the pool pump when there is pressure from eight to ten psi. It will, thus, remove the garbage or debris, with a backwash. You can do this by turning the pool pump off. Then turn the valve to run the pool water for three minutes. Do it until it is cleaned.

When the process is finished, turn the diverter back. Let the sand layers settle. Then, turn the pool pump off. You have to replace the sand every two years. There are different kinds of sand filters in the market, such as commercial horizontal sand filters, multi-layer sand filters, plastic filters, etc. Their feature and strength may vary up to some extent. You can select the one that suits your needs. HRV Hi-Rate and pool filter is known for eliminating sand migrations and efficient filtering.

The third type of filters is diatomaceous filter or earth filters. These use a mined substance of white powder that works in the same way the sand filter works. It is capable to filter the tiniest particles from the water. After you have finished the backwash process, you can start it again by putting more powder in the skimmer. Check if the water is clear, and is not white and translucent when it returns back to the pool. If the water is not clear, the powder is not properly placed for what it was meant for.

Commercial pool filters can be purchased according to oneĀ's specific needs. You can settle for any of the three kinds mentioned above. These are available in different brands.
